TOWN OF SANFORD
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a Public Hearing will be held before the Town Board on October 10, 2023, at 7:00 PM at the Sanford Town Hall, 91 Second St, Deposit, New York in said Town regarding the adoption of a Local Law entitled, “A Local Law to Override the Tax Levy Limit Established in General Municipal Law Section 3-c.” The Local Law would authorize the Town Board to override the 2% tax levy limit established by General Municipal Law Section 3-c on real property taxes to be levied by the Town in adopting its budgets for the fiscal year 2024.
A copy of the Proposed Local Law is on file and may be examined in the office of the Town Clerk.
The environmental significance, if any, of the proposed Local Law will be reviewed incident to an as a part of the public hearing. Persons with disabilities who require assistance in attending said public hearing or in furnishing comments and suggestions, should contact the undersigned to request such assistance.
Communications in writing in relation thereto may be filed with the Town Board or at such public hearing.
